THE PROPOSAL
As always, the bride tells it best--"He secretly worked with my friends in Chicago to pick the perfect ring. They even had code words worked out for texts. When he had to go out of town on business for 2 weeks, he sneaked in an extra long lay-over in Chicago. My friends picked him up, had a nice lunch and then passed along the ring. I picked him up from the airport like normal and returned home. He placed the box on the couch next to him. I walked over and picked it up saying "oh a present." He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him."

CULTURAL TRADITIONS
Paul's British roots were shared by his mother and sister who gifted the bride with a horseshoe and six pence to carry down the aisle. Anna's sister performed a traditional Polish wedding blessing with bread, salt and wine.
WHAT MADE THE DAY UNIQUE
Six months before the wedding, Paul was relocated to England. The wedding was not only a celebration of love, it was a bon voyage event as well.
