THEIR STORY |
| HOW THEY MET Anna and Paul met on Eharmony.com and she happened to be Paul's first date through the dating site. | | | | BRIDE'S PROFESSION Medical Device Quality Manager | | | | | GROOM'S PROFESSION Electronics Engineer | | | | LENGTH OF ENGAGEMENT 1 year | | | | THE PROPOSAL As always, the bride tells it best--"He secretly worked with my friends in Chicago to pick the perfect ring. They even had code words worked out for texts. When he had to go out of town on business for 2 weeks, he sneaked in an extra long lay-over in Chicago. My friends picked him up, had a nice lunch and then passed along the ring. I picked him up from the airport like normal and returned home. He placed the box on the couch next to him. I walked over and picked it up saying "oh a present." He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him." | | | | THE GOWN Designer: Casablanca
Description: A romantic beaded ivory lace over a champagne satin A-line gown with sweetheart neckline. | | | | NUMBER OF GUESTS / ATTENDANTS 90 guests / 5 bridesmaids / 4 groomsmen | | | | THE THEME The Moon | | | | THE CAKE This creation of Cakes by Maggie featured 3 tiers decorated in fondant, surrounded with ribbon and adorned with real flowers. | | | | CULTURAL TRADITIONS Paul's British roots were shared by his mother and sister who gifted the bride with a horseshoe and six pence to carry down the aisle.
Anna's sister performed a traditional Polish wedding blessing with bread, salt and wine. | | | | WHAT MADE THE DAY UNIQUE Six months before the wedding, Paul was relocated to England. The wedding was not only a celebration of love, it was a bon voyage event as well. | | |
