THE CAKE
The cake was a "Mocha Misu" from Citizen Cake, frosted with white vanilla buttercream and pearl piping at the base of the cake. It was decorated with green and burgundy colored Calla Lilys. The Cupcakes were from Sibby's Cupcakery. They were assorted red velvet, buttercup, and chocolate coconut. They were decorated with either a Henna or Chinese Double Happiness design.
CULTURAL TRADITIONS
Two days before the wedding the couple had a Mendhi Party where henna is applied to the hands and feet of the bride. The henna artist was magnificent and made beautiful designs for over 7 hours.

The day before the wedding the couple had a Chinese Tea Ceremony, which is a ceremony in which the bride is welcomed to the Chinese family. It was a private affair with few guests.
WHAT MADE THE DAY UNIQUE
The wedding day was like a journey for the guests. It began with a beautiful, traditional and formal Catholic wedding followed by a mini-reception with a Chinese Wedding Lion Dance and both Indian and Chinese hors d'oeuvres.

Then the event was moved to the City Club of San Francisco which hosted an elaborate yet casual and animated Hindu Ceremony. The Hindu priest is a real character and a terrific person who flew down from Washington D.C. to be there. The Hindu Ceremony was full of laughter and joy.

The celebration also featured the performance of Flaming Fusion, a dance company who strives to blend dances from around the globe into creative fusions. And by the end of the evening all were dancing to Bhangra and hip hop until midnight.
HONEYMOON DESTINATION

Spain, Sicily, Greece, Egypt and Malta USA
THE WEDDING
The groom is Chinese and Roman Catholic. The bride is Hindu. They really wanted to blend both cultures throughout the day's events. There were foreign and familiar elements for each guest. The newlyweds wanted each person to enjoy the unique experience of their wedding.
