FROM THE EDITOR
Over the past 14 years in the wedding industry, I’ve had the pleasure of viewing hundreds of beautiful weddings and featuring many of them in Today’s Bride and AboutWeddings.com. This one however, holds a special place in my heart. Nicole’s Father and uncle, Phil and Anthony LaCavera, were instrumental in helping me launch my first publication. In fact, it was at our debut party, hosted and catered by her father’s restaurant, the Magic Flute that I first met Nicole in January 1993. Ten years later Nicole joined Today’s Bride and AboutWeddings.com as an account executive. There are many things I can thank the LaCavera family for, but the greatest of them all—is Nicole. An integral part of our company for over two and a half years, Nicole’s contributions were many, both personally and professionally.

Summer of 2004 Nicole attended a friend’s wedding. Returning to the office Monday morning with her feet barely touching the ground she described a young man she’d met at the wedding. After three days of seeing her flush at the mention of his name, I half-kidding said, “Nicole, it sounds like you’ve met the man you’re going to marry.” A beautiful smile was her only response, but it spoke volumes. Within a year, Charlie had proposed and they began planning the amazing wedding featured here at AboutWeddings.com.

Nicole and Charlie, it’s been a joy to see your romance blossom and it was an honor to be a part of your wedding. May you forever share the anticipation and promise of every sunrise and the romance of each glorious sunset.

With love—Cristine Thomas, Editor-in-Chief
