THE PROPOSAL
In the midst of building their first home, it seemed perfectly reasonable when Jason asked Aimee to stop by the house to meet with the contractor one afternoon. With walls framed but no drywall, Jason found a perfect spot in the wall for his sparkling surprise. Upon seeing the glistening piece, Aimee reached for the ring then turned to find her handsome prince on bended knee.

The 4-tiered round stacked fondant cake displayed a hand stitched crystal vine over ribbon on each layer. Hot pink roses with crystals sprouting out of the flowers created a unique cake topper. The cake stand was made of green mums.

THE MENU
Prime Rib, Shrimp Skewers and Rosemary Chicken made up the entree selections for guests.
WHAT MADE THE DAY UNIQUE
Aimee and Jason put a twist on the "Anniversary Dance" where a couple honors the longest married guests with the bride's bouquet. Because Aimee is in the wedding industry she had seen this tradition done many times and while she wanted to do something similar, she had to make it original for her wedding day.

Aimee contacted all of the married couples invited to the wedding and asked them their anniversary date and first dance song so she could create a CD of music as favors. In the process, however, she found out that Shirley and Proctor Evans had been married the longest of all her other guests...55 years!

Aimee called upon her mother-in-law to do some research and eventually was presented with a picture of Shirley's bridal bouquet which Aimee brought to her floral designer in hopes of recreating.

The night of the wedding, the DJ invited all the married couples to the dance floor and started eliminating couples until the only couple left on the dance floor was Shirley and Proctor. At that moment, Aimee and Jason went out to the dance floor and presented the bouquet to Shirley, who was completely surprised and touched. The DJ asked marriage advice of Shirley and Proctor and then the couples danced to "Give Me Your Hand" which was Shirley and Proctor's first dance song.
