According to multiple national resources, 1% of the population is marrying on an annual basis. Of that 1% nearly 78% will opt for an actual wedding and reception. There is no doubt. The wedding industry is continuing to thrive. The focus on event design that emerged in the late 90's ushered in a new wave of professional products and services that have become standard elements to the "wedding suite" of services. From extravagant linens and props, to contemporary furniture brought in to create themed vignettes, to lighting and photo booths. The industry is continuing to evolve and grow.
This year the bridal industry will generate 127 billion in consumer
spending. Over 2.5 million weddings will occur with an average cost
of $34,500. Seventy-five percent of the to-be-weds will pay their
own tab. Twenty-five percent will rely on their parents to cover the
majority of wedding expenses. |
