  • Once the rings have been selected and purchased, request an appraisal. This is a written estimate of the value of your jewelry. Appraisals of diamonds should include specific indications of the 4 C's: cut, color, clarity and carat weight. Also, immediately after your purchase, photograph your jewelry for insurance purposes, and make sure your current insurance policy is adequate. In not, contact your insurance agent about amending you policy.
